Job Description
As an Assistant Supervisor, you are responsible for the day-to-day business at the warehouse. You make sure that the logistic processes run smoothly, obstacles are anticipated on time and that problems are solved efficiently. You stay up-to-date of the processes by communicating regularly with the involved colleagues, especially your Supervisor and the Line Leads. You make sure that the Line Leads fully understand the supply chain process, answer their questions and provide support if difficulties and challenges occur. Moreover, you coordinate their work during the daily stand-up. You draw up this daily plan by taking the available colleagues, the expected in- and outbound and the availability of materials in the warehouse (for example pallets and boxes), into account. You prioritize the products and make decisions about what the Line Leads have to process first. In the end you are responsible for finding the balance between all the logistic components. Moreover, you write daily reports about the processed products and the amount of incoming and outgoing trucks. In addition, you draw conclusions about the logistic results. You send these reports to the Warehouse Manager of your department and explain the reports if necessary. These daily reports can also be used for innovating the logistic processes.
You can work as an Assistant Supervisor in different teams, for example Inbound, Outbound and Returns. Every team consists of a Supervisor, Line Leads and other colleagues like
Troubleshooters and Logistic Administrative Support Employees. Moreover, you often reach out to the Quality department and the Management Team of your department.
