For their ambitious, fast growing team in Amsterdam, they are looking for a Business Analyst (Strategy & Data Analytics). This person will work with a lot of (big) data sets to analyze performance, identify core business improvement opportunities and explore strategic growth avenues.
As a Business Analyst within the Business Development team of the Benelux department, you will be involved in important, cross-functional, data-heavy projects. You take a role driving the data analyses, identifying implications and improvement ideas and translating these into compelling presentations.
This job is a challenge as you will wear two hats:
Data analysis hat: You crunch and analyze (large) data sets in SQL and Excel
Consulting hat: You translate the analysis results into useful insights, improvement opportunities and actions, where needed with the help of your team members. You have the opportunity to discuss these learnings with senior and C-level management, which requires looking at the business on a more strategic and holistic level.
What you’ll be doing:
Diving into and analyzing large data sets to gather useful insights (using e.g. SQL, Tableau and Spreadsheets)
Analyzing commercial performance across a range of KPIs, incl. in-depth analyses on financial and customer metrics
Identifying and evaluating strategic and tactical improvement ideas with your colleagues to support continued growth of the business (incl. business case development)
Translating findings into compelling recommendations (presentations, pitches) for senior management
Supporting on / coordinating a variety of commercial improvement projects (e.g. A/B testing, experiments, implementation of improvement initiatives) across the business
The data in this role ranges from customer inflow, satisfaction and retention, market penetration, product improvement, new product development, new verticals, and more.
You can also take on a project management role, driving cross-functional projects and motivating others to execute change, and guiding our junior analysts the best you can.

A University Bachelor degree at minimum;
At least 3 yearsof working experience in a business analysis role, e.g. as a (senior) business / strategy / business development / marketing / BI analyst;
Proven hard skills: strong SQL skills or Python skills and interest in developing strong SQL skills;
Able to speak English at a professional level.
