Job Description

As Head of Solutions Design, you will work within the Business Development team. Within this dynamic international working environment, you are responsible for coming up with efficient and effective logistics solutions for (new) customers and delivering the corresponding cost model. To this end, you will work closely with colleagues from Business Development and other departments to arrive at the best solutions.
Your tasks include:
• Working out and delivering complete and correct cost models and P&L analyses for both tenders and also extensions to existing operations.
• Coordinating the work within the Solutions Design Engineering department.
• Managing the team of Solutions Design Engineers and acting as the first point of contact for the Sales Director and/or other members of the management team.
• Identifying, designing and improving logistics processes.
• Communicating with customers to understand their supply chain requirements.
• Designing and presenting warehouse processes and working out costs.
• Participating in meetings/calls with customers to discuss possible solutions.
• Providing an overview of (mechanical) solutions used as a proposal towards the customer.
• Supervising implementations of new business.
• Closely following market developments in automation and robotization to apply in company solutions

Requirements

• HBO/WO working and thinking level, towards business administration/logistics
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Negotiating skills and strong communication
• Very good networker, decisive and strong interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written expression skills in Dutch and English
