About company

For a large production company on the border of Limburg and Vlaams Brabant we are looking for a Technical Buyer who will report to the COO and will manage the procurement process for all technical components and manufacturing activities. You will closely work together with the Supply Chain Manager to prepare the product serial production phase to ensure optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and accurate delivery.

Job Description

• You are in charge of all procurement related activities inside the development project for new product developments. You take the lead on different project sourcing groups (identification, assessment and contracting).
• You will be responsible for the development, management and negotiations with new and existing suppliers & manufacturing partners for new product developments.
• You will closely work together with the R&D team in specific projects to source technical components based on the technical requirements set by the R&D team.
• You will closely work together with the Supply Chain Manager to prepare the supply chain to ensure a successful production.

Requirements

• You have experience in technical procurement in a manufacturing environment and/or Engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
• You have knowledge and or feeling with (electro)mechanical and electrical categories.
• You have excellent project management skills
• You have commercial skills to manage early client relationships.
• You have strong communication skills and you like the interaction with external suppliers.
• You are very hands on, results-oriented and able to work autonomously.
• You are fluent in English – it is not required to have Dutch as a mother tongue.
• Legal right to work in Belgium.
