Our Client is an industrial leader within automotive with different global and local sites in Belgium. For their operations in Zeebrugge they are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for their terminal activities: coordination of the logistics activities to guarantee the delivery of the new vehicles within the agreed time frame. Most of the time you work independently in Zeebrugge but one day a week you work together with the other colleagues in the HQ in Belgium.

Job Description

Main responsibilities are:

  • Assisting the Logistics Manager in the daily follow-up of the logistical activities via the ports to the dealers in order to guarantee a timely delivery: Co-monitoring of the work of the logistical service providers and dealing with possible complaints;
  • Being responsible for the daily coordination of the delivery of new cars from European ports to the dealers in order to ensure a timely delivery;
  • Guaranteeing an optimal service to the distributors in the countries concerned, in cooperation with the logistical suppliers in order to maintain a quality level of service;
  • Completing all administrative tasks for the logistical service providers in order to guarantee a correct and timely delivery;
  • Follow-up of the launch activities and projects in order to remain up to date and use this knowledge to perform your job-related tasks;
  • Personally maintaining good relationships with the terminal operators in order to get a better service.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree is minimal requirement (for example: distribution, but this is not a must)
  • A few years of relevant logistical experience
  • A high level of self-reliance is a must, this job requires the ability to work independently.
  • You master the English language. Knowledge of Dutch is not a must but a plus.
  • You have good social skills and are proactive.
  • You enjoy face-to-face contact.
  • You have good computer skills (such as Excel, MS Office), some BI experience is a plus
  • You are also communicative, eager to learn, stress-resistant and can work independently.
  • You are client-oriented.
  • You are a team player.
  • You have a real challenger spirit.
  • You are an administrative all-rounder and work accurately.
