Job Description

For the fast-growing  division, based in Venlo, this company is looking for a Logistics Process Engineer.
Do you always think in terms of solutions and do you make the logistics process better every day? As a Logistics Process Engineer, you will work with the latest technologies and implement them in the warehouses!

What will you do?
As Logistics Process Engineer you work within the Business Support department. You mainly carry out projects aimed at setting up and optimising logistics processes within one or more sites. You coordinate the work within a (multi)client team (scrum). You work for both internal and external clients. You work together in a regional team consisting of both logistics engineers, process engineers and IT.
But what makes this challenge so cool? You will be working in a “flat organisation” where the lines of communication are short and where you will have complete freedom as a process engineer. You will work with the latest technologies, such as the automated warehouse in Venlo! You will help think about the future of the logistics services.

Other tasks in your role include:

  • Designing and improving logistics processes;
  • You coordinate tasks and priorities within a site team (scrum);
  • Translating logistics and value-added service activities into costs and  rates;
  • You participate in projects to improve the logistics process, such as large-scale automation projects or new customer implementations;
  • You provide operational support, advise, support and document process adjustments;
  • You have a continuous eye for improving and standardising your own departmental processes and internal and external cooperation.

  • Have a completed relevant education, HBO business administration, HBO logistics or similar;
  • Have about 3 years of experience within a similar position. Have you just graduated and are looking for an entry-level position? Then they would also like to invite you to apply!
  • Are strong in logistics data analysis;
  • Preferably you have knowledge of logistics processes; if you also have knowledge of logistics automation/mechanisation, this is definitely an advantage;
  • Are communicative; you are able to communicate with internal and external parties;
  • Have knowledge of and affinity with WMS systems and SQL is an advantage;
  • Have a good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
