To facilitate the growth ambitions and to bring the international procurement operations to the next level, they are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager. In this new role within the Supply Chain Management team, you bring in the expertise to set-up the company procurement strategy, processes and procedures. You will lead tactical and operational procurement activities related to both new propositions as well as the ongoing business. In order to make procurement an integral part of how they conduct their business you give visibility to the procurement operations within the organization and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Develop a global long-term procurement strategy enabling the future growth ambitions and ensuring future-proof partnerships
  • Execute the strategy based on procurement plans for the short- and mid-term
  • Gain market insights to identify new opportunities for sourcing, while aligning with the company’s ‘One Planet’ strategy on sustainability and circularity
  • Structure procurement processes and procedures
  • Contribute to product development from an early stage to timely determine the best procurement strategy and contract suppliers based on clear, joint, decisions regarding buy or build, design and specifications, award criteria etc.
  • Define and monitor procurement related KPIs and dashboards
  • Work towards potential yearly savings and optimize total cost of ownership
  • Review and improve/ renegotiate existing contracts and set up a vendor management rating system
  • Endorse digital transformation and participate in the implementation of a new ERP system
  • Lead the tactical and operational procurement activities
  • Align with internal stakeholders on their business needs on products and services
  • Create visibility to the procurement operations and its added value to the organization

Requirements

Your profile

This client is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with a business- and partnership-oriented, hands-on and pro-active way of working. You have a proven track record in successfully creating and managing procurement teams. You are a flexible colleague who is not afraid to pioneer in unknown areas and likes to build and shape the future.

  • Bachelor and/or Master degree, preferably in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
  • A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in an international environment
  • Solution-oriented and capability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent commercial, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire from interpersonal and leadership capabilities
  • Fluent written and verbal skills in German, English and Dutch
