About company

Stroom supports a cool and young (trying not to use the word scale up, but did it anyways) company with hiring a senior supply planning manager to join the team. They have a unique offering focused on supply chain planning solutions. Our client is very well represented in everything considered planning strategy, process improvements, data management and tool implementation with two main business lines: S&OP & MPS. S&OP is very important but they see a clear upward trend in the second business line. Manufacturers are looking more and more at how accurate supply planning  & detail scheduling combined with industry 4.0 and AI can improve their operations.

Job Description

The senior supply planning manager has an important role to fulfil in this second business line. We are looking for someone who will have direct impact on the growth of the company and by doing so you will enable yourself to grow into that director seat in a couple of years. This position reports into the COO and you will manage a team of experienced consultants with a lot of theoretical know how. What does the team require? Not necessarily the next PhD in supply chain (no problem if you have one right) but rather an experienced business counterpart who has a good sense of the impact of certain decisions on the shop floor:

If we change this process, or we implement this tool, what will be the direct consequences in operations?

Requirements

What to have in your backpack:

  • Strong experience in supervising the MPS (master production schedule) process. Ideally you are a planning manager with two hats. An operational one which means you fully understand the link between planning and production. And a strategic hat which will bring added value in supply chain transformation projects.
  • You have played a key role in the implementation of planning tools in an international organisation and understand perfectly how to define the requirements, how to prepare the supply chain processes and how to build the necessary capabilities to be ready for such a change.
  • Leadership that shows in different ways. You are an inspiring team leader who invests time in people and development. You are also a knowledgeable ‘sparring partner’ for clients and will be often working directly with the executive or C-level. Stakeholder management, creating buy in, it’s all in there.
  • We are looking for someone authentic, self-steering, trustworthy, what you see is what you get, intrapreneurial and of course a real supply chain enthusiast.

What we offer

But most important of all, you are excited to take up this challenge and build a strong business line. Our client is known for their thought leadership, they are experts in their business and have come up with some amazing tools that I had not heard of before. You will surely be able to broaden your supply chain knowledge and skill up. Besides that they have a strong emphasis on human capital: teamwork, giving employees the time to develop themselves and choose the next steps, flexibility, a lot of WFH, do you want to go backpacking to Asia for 6 weeks? No problem!

We are looking at a broad salary range of 70K – 95K EUR / year + car + bonus + other fringe benefits.
