Job Description

In the role of Stock controller you are the first point of contact for the internal customer(s) regarding stock management. You ensure the quality of the whole stock control process by monitoring the daily tasks and managing the operational team.

Key activities

The Stock controller is leading the stock control team in the Tilburg warehouse. The team is a mix of Item- and location masters and operational support functions like cycle counters and repackers. You will report to the head of the stock control department.

You will make sure the cycle counting frequencies are met and report the cycle count results. Analyzing and solving these differences will result in an optimal stock allocation.

Lead the stock control team:

  • Manage the individual team members
  • Ensure teamwork
  • Translate and guide the expected quality and results towards the team

 Stock Comparison;

  • Coordinate cycle count tasks
  • Analyze and report cycle count results (KPIs)
  • Analyze, solve and report daily stock discrepancies between WMS and Customer’s ERP-system
  • Organize and coordinate Wall-to-Walls (2x per year)
  • Close contact with Customer Service team in order to solve customer complaints
  • Ensure optimal stock allocation levels in WMS / Customer’s ERP
  • Initiate improvements to ensure optimal stock levels

 Warehouse occupancy;

  • Report daily and weekly occupancy trends
  • Initiate and align actions for optimal usage of the warehouse capacity
  • Align and coordinate warehouse optimization tasks

 Blocked stock management;

  • Coordinate blocked stock (Inbound, Warehouse and Return damages) allocation and reporting
  • Coordinate repack and rework activities

 Item and location master data;

  • Ensure quality of the WMS item master and location master parameters
  • Function as trouble shooter to solve item master and put-away related issues
  • Analyze product and handling characteristics and initiate process improvement possibilities

Improve warehouse processes and systems;

  • Identify process deviations and translate deviations into solutions and improvement proposals

 Customer contact:

  • Act as a first point of contact for the customer related to stock (control) topics

 

Requirements

For this role they are looking for an ambitious candidate with strong analytical and communication skills. He/she is a flexible and accurate problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality that likes to work and lead operational teams.

They are looking for a person with:

  • A Bachelor/Master degree in Logistics/SCM
  • Warehouse operations and/or coordination skills
  • 1-3 years working experience in a stock controller role
  • A proficient level of English
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Relevant experience with ERP and WMS systems
