Job Description

The Supply Planner is part of the Supply Planning team and reports to the Supply Planning Manager. The scope stretches across all factories. The primary function of this role is to ensure all SKU are produced on time in full to deliver high service to our customers.

Execute Core Planning Process

  • Develop an executable master production schedule for Manufacturing operations, which balances customer service, material availability, plant capacities and targeted inventory levels.
  • Develop inventory and safety stock targets to balance supply and demand with service targets
  • Provide long term supply plans, as input into plant capacity (RCCP) and capital planning.
  • Proactively identify short term supply and demand gaps and propose actions; pro actively create and deliver appropriate communications to key internal stakeholders and trade partners
  • Develop and action allocation strategies with input from key stakeholders during supply shortages
  • Manage phase-in / phase-out of packaging changes / new product introductions.
  • Conduct companywide product line capacity modelling/analysis.

Coordinate with stakeholders

  • First line contact to / manage working relationship with factories to ensure undisrupted flow of finished products.
  • Inform Commercial of potential supply risks.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning on high OTIF rate and obsoletes prevention.
  • Escalate supply and inventory risk to Supply Planning Lead.
  • Manage disputes according to escalation matrix.

Reporting and Data input

  • Provide input to the S&OP processes (Step 3).
  • Provide input to the Production Manager/Supply Planning Lead for KPI reporting.

Other duties may be assigned by the company as deemed necessary.

Requirements

Competencies and skills

  • Excellent communication and social skills.
  • Understanding of operation processes.
  • Pro-active team player
  • Literacy in MS Excel and MS Office package
  • SAP knowledge (preference SAP IBP)

Education and experience

  • Higher professional degree in relevant disciplines.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in Food and/or Ingredients is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch (verbal and written).
  • Able to cooperate with different internal and external stakeholders.
