FMCG company is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist, Belgium
Our client is a production company with a beautiful product and a kick-ass sales & marketing machine. From a supply chain perspective, the company has not evolved accordingly. Therefore they have asked Stroom to help them find a Supply Chain Expert/ Specialist/ Coordinator. Call it what you want, but they need someone ‘good’!
In this role you will first focus on the “AS IS” company product flow: inflow of raw materials, warehousing process, production of a B-2-C high quality product, packaging process, distribution channels to end consumers.
To make a correct assessment you will need a good analytical mindset to collect the right data and built up a data matrix that has forecasting power for the future Supply Chain & Operations organisation. KPI metrics are essential.
After having understood the AS IS situation, you will have to create the TO BE plan with the Supply Chain Director. It’s your goal to make this company 21th century proof! Conclusions of your first analysis can be dealing with:
Selecting and implementing new resource planning tools
Outsourcing or insourcing of some activities (transport, warehousing, packaging)
Optimizing demand & supply planning processes
Building up KPI matrixes for all different operational areas in Belgium and abroad
Liaising supply chain with all other departments of the company
We need someone who can work as a data cruncher on Monday, as a supply chain strategist on Tuesday and an operational logistics problem solver on Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday there will be time to rest. No, that’s a joke. There will be a lot of work to bring this company at the level where it wants to be.
Some key words:
5-10 years of supply chain experience in a complex, high SKU quantity and fast moving environment
“Goesting”, “envie”, “willingness to go the extra mile”
Sparringpartner for the Supply Chain Director
DUTCH OR FRENCH is essential -> only English will not work
