About the client
For this role at our warehouses in Tilburg and Breda we’re looking for a Logistics Engineer that analyzes current operational warehouse and transport processes and suggests, specifies, and implements innovative logistics solutions in order to improve operational efficiency, operational quality and reduce costs. Furthermore, in the role you will support implementation of new processes and customer requests.
About the job
The Logistics Engineer is part of the Innovation & Projects and stock Control team. The team is a mix of IT specialists, Logistics Engineers and operational support functions. Key activities of the Logistics Engineer are:
Continuously improve processes and systems
Translate client or business needs into system requirements and operational processes.
Identify and suggest improvements for the Transport and Warehouse Management Systems (TMS/WMS).
Set up process descriptions and functional specifications for development and configuration.
Create test plans, execute tests and hand-over deliverables to operation and monitor impact.
Manage change together with multiple relevant stakeholders (e.g. client, operations, IT, transport, and stock control).
Be the subject matter expert for multiple warehouses and/or clients.
Describe and analyze the current situation and design and the desired situation including an implementation plan.
Analyze large data sets and draw sound conclusions supported with data.
Knowledge of lean principles
Project management
Project management related to optimization of processes and system changes. Manage implementation changes in product portfolio.
Create business cases and calculate (expected) Return on Investment of improvement initiatives.

Job requirements
We are looking for a Logistics Engineer with:
A relevant bachelor or master degree for example: Industrial Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management.
1+ years relevant working experience in warehousing/engineering role.
A proficient level of English.
Experience with TMS/WMS systems.
Critical thinker. Pragmatic. Data driven.
Travelling between warehouses may be required (Tilburg and Breda).
